As a renter of a motorbike owned by Zippy Motorbikes you understand and agree to the following terms (If you do not agree to any of the terms DO NOT rent a motorbike):

1)      Limitation of Liability

Zippy Motorbikes will not be responsible for any harm caused by the use/misuse of our motorbikes. The renter releases and forever discharges Zippy Motorbikes and its affiliates, successors and assigns, officers, employees, representatives, partners, agents and anyone claiming through them (collectively, the “Released Parties”), in their individual and/or corporate capacities from any and all claims, liabilities, obligations, promises, agreements, disputes, demands, damages, causes of action of any nature and kind, known or unknown, which renter has or ever had or may in the future have against Zippy Motorbikes.

2) Rights of Use

The renter agrees that they are knowledgeable on the operation of a motorbike and they are the sole party authorized to use this motorbike for the duration of this rental. If they allow an unauthorized party to operate this motorbike, the renter is responsible for any damage caused by that user.

3) Deposit

Zippy Motorbikes reserves the rights to request any or all of the following as a form of deposit:

1) Cash Deposit – Up to the value of the Motorbike.

2) Copy of Passport

3) Passport Book

4) Thai National ID Card.

Upon agreeable conclusion of the rental, Zippy Motorbikes will release the deposit to the renter minus any damages or fees incurred by the renter.

4) Damages

The renter is responsible for any damages caused to the motorbike or third-party property for the duration of their rental. Zippy Motorbikes is not responsible for the payment of any damages caused by the renter including but not limited to third party property damage, personal injury, motorbike damage, and/or legal fines or fees. The condition of the bike will be reviewed and recorded by Zippy Motorbikes, the renter agrees to the state of the motorbike upon rental and accepts the penalty for any damages that occurred during their use of the motorbike regardless of fault. If any items such as helmets, keys, etc are lost, the renter is required to reimburse Zippy Motorbikes for the costs of replacement.

5) Maintenance

Zippy Motorbikes will pay for the regular maintenance of the motorbike (Including oil changes and other standard maintenance that is required). It is the responsibility of the renter to return the bike in a timely manner for maintenance to be performed. If a mechanical issue is caused by the renter’s negligence then they will be responsible for the costs of repair. Zippy Motorbikes only guarantees the condition of Tires for the first 24 hours of the rental, any flat tires after this period will be the responsibility of the renter. Fuel is not supplied or checked upon rental and is the sole responsibility of the renter. Any fuel in the bike upon return is forfeited by the renter.

6) Insurance

Zippy Motorbikes does not provide insurance for property damage in the case of an accident. Any damage or theft of a Zippy Motorbikes owned  motorbike is the responsibility of the renter who is liable to pay for such damages. 

All bikes are insured with Thai mandatory injury insurance up to the amount stated by the insurance provider. The renter is responsible for any payments in excess of the insured amounts or for any claims that are denied.

The renter also acknowledges that in many cases of injury or damage, their international travel insurance may not cover their rental. It is the sole responsibility of the renter to pay for their damages out of pocket and then seek reimbursement on their own from their travel insurance provider.

7) Change and Cancellation

The renter agrees to pay the full amount due for the entire rental duration upon acceptance of bike. If the renter changes or cancels their rental after it has begun, then Zippy Motorbikes is not required to refund any amounts for the days not used. In the case of a rental that exceeds 30 days, payment can be made on a prepaid monthly basis. If the renter extends the rental prior consent or notice, they are liable for paying the additional days based on the daily rental rate.

8) Late Payments

The renter agrees to pay for their rental up front. If the duration of the rental is greater than 30 days, the renter is permitted to pay for the rental on a monthly basis. Their due date is 5 days before the beginning of the following rental-month. For example a rental between Oct 11- Jan 11 would have a payment due date as follows: Oct. 11 (First Month), Nov. 6 (Second Month), Dec. 6 (third Month), If payment is made later than 5 days after their due date, Zippy Motorbikes is entitled to charge a 100 THB/day late fee.

9) Alterations to Terms and Conditions

By acceptance of this agreement you are bound to the terms and conditions within. This agreement supersedes any prior agreements or verbal alterations. Zippy Motorbikes management is authorized to make exceptions to these terms at any time at their sole discretion on a case by case basis.
